Three tournaments took place on the arena. It was essentially a round platform situated in outer space, specifically a Super Mario Galaxy or Rainbow Road -themed setting. Galaxy 2 was definitely more linear than Galaxy 1. Galaxy Colosseum (known as Galaxy Arena in the British English version) was a battle stage that appeared in Mario Kart Wii during online tournaments. (a blue sprite of Small Mario is found in one of the levels, Mario 3 only) New. Mario & Wario (Mario and Luigi) Super Mario All-Stars Super Mario Bros. Stolen Assets Graphics (Mario 3: Around the World and Mario 4: A Space Odyssey) Level graphics. Galaxy 2 was set up way too similarly to the newer 2D Mario games, still fun though. The title screen background of Mario 4: A Space Odyssey is the OST Cover of Super Mario Galaxy. I prefer Galaxy 1 because it was closer to the Mario 64 style. This soundtrack is the "cream of the crop", music directly from the game that best highlights the mixing of orchestral sound quality with classic Nintendo sensibilities. The gameplay of Galaxy 2 is better and more refined, but the first one was more innovative and atmospheric.
